What is PTSF?
In May 2008, Anne Jackson asked a question on her blog, FlowerDust.net. It was simple: What is one thing you feel you can’t say in church?
Hundreds have responded. The question spread far – both in the Christian faith and outside. Websites and media all over the world took the question and posed it to their own audiences. Everyone wanted to share their story.
Permission to Speak Freely isn’t just a book. It’s a artistic collaboration and movement of those who are through with keeping brokenness in the dark.
In some ways, it’s similar to the PostSecret movement using artistic submissions from the community at large. However, this book isn't about secrets. It's about confessing...both to God, and to others...so that we can live our lives whole and healed. It's about identifying our brokenness and ultimately sharing in a story of redemption and rescue with others.
In addition to the art, the book is a collection of stories from Scripture and from the author that journey through fear, confession, and grace.
